I agree with you. The Lord of the Flies must be spying on them or has some other way of finding out information on the children.

The boys]found themselves eager to take a place in this demented but partly secure society. They were glad to touch the brown backs of the fence that hemmed in the terror and made it governable.

I agree with what you said. The boys are losing touch with their "human" side and are becoming more and more animalistic like you said.
