I agree with this, any good leader that sees things going down hill does evaluate himself to see if it is him that's the problem and how others would do it. And that is exactly what Ralph is doing as chief he needs to make sure things are in order and getting done but after being on the island for so long his starting to think if this is worth it or if its just him.

Ralph at this point is questioning his own leadership, and that can be a good or bad thing. Which ever path he chooses, it must be for the good of his group.

I do agree that it shows the boys are scared but they also show sybolism of fear and ignornace as well

I agree, Ralph is starting the question himself and that could be a good or bad thing. Hopefully he chooses based on the group to help push them in the right track.

I agree, Piggy is the most civil and he also speaks of his home and that they are people and not animals. He also knows that they are supposed to follow the rule and that no one is above the rules. He is the voice of reason and when someone does that follow the rules he seems to be very frustrated.

I agree with you. I feel sorry for Piggy because he is trying to help the other children, but they are not cooperating.

"If you are scared of someone you hate him but you can't stop thinking about him. You kid yourself he's all right really, an' then when you see him again, it's like asthma an' you can't breathe. I tell you what. He hates you too, Ralph-" -Piggy page 93

By this point in the story I feel like all the boys on the island are going pretty crazy. I also think that the thought of being rescued is becoming more and more distant.

I think that the word choice if he author was strange for this quote. The use of the words bloodthirsty and snarl reveal Jack's character.

This is a great example one of many that proves that all the boys are going crazy. One thing that we have not seen yet in the book is them becoming nourished I under stand that there is meat and fruit but sooner or later I do not think that that will be enough for a balanced diet and I also think that later in the book they will get sick from the pigs they might be smart but they are not the most clean creatures and after all that seems to be one of the main things they are eating.

I agree with you. I think this quote could be forshadowing for what is to come next in the novel.

Yep I agree, I feel as that quote is showing how they are becoming more violent as time goes on.

Once again, we have another quote that represents the boys craziness. I agree that them doing all the unnecessary violence is not good at all because they are going to think it's okay for them to do it to a person.

The hunters' thoughts were crowded with memories of the knowledge that they had outwitted a living thing, imposed their will upon it, taken away its life like a long satisfying drink.

I agree. The boys think it's fun to hunt instead of focusing on surviving

I think that the boys time on the island has changed them to think of hunting for pleasure rather than need.
