"There was a blink of bright light beyond the forest and the thunder exploded again so that a littlun started to whine. Big drops of rain fell among them making individual sounds when they struck." -pg. 151 narrator

I really like how you used the rain in this. You're right, rain always signals a bad event. This makes me wonder about what else could happen if it rains on the island again.

Good connection. The storm really does represent something at the time it comes.

I feel like that's how Jack felt when he first wanted to vote out Ralph as chief.. now Ralph knows how it felt.

I agree his emotions are really starting to show. What do you think will happen when his emotions overcome his actions?

" the greatest ideas are the simplest. Now that there was something to be done they worked with passion. Piggy was so delight and expanding liberty in Jack's departure, so filled with pride in his contribution to the good of society that he helped fetch wood." Pg. 129 narrator

I like how you described what this meant to Piggy. He'll take anything he can get because he really has been an outcast. And I agree with the reasoning behind the boys splitting up. They may have tension between them, but it's best that they split up I think. If they can't work together, they are better off working separately.
