Monday: Work on Outlining. Outline is due beginning of class tomorrow. Tuesday: Notes: Intro, Citing Sources. Here is a good list of ways to start your introduction . Any remaining time, we will begin writing Introduction to essay. Wednesday: Work Day. You should be working on writing your introduction and 1 body paragraph (background or Argument 1). Thursday: Vocab Quiz; Notes: avoiding plagiarism, transition words; Using Easy Bib Friday: Work Day. You should continue writing your essay. You may also use this time to start creating your bibliography on Easy Bib. Bibliography will be due Next Friday (Feb 2) Monday: No School- MLK day

Monday: Lord of the Flies Ch 1-6 Quiz, Discussion of allegory, and work on characters in Lord of the Flies Tuesday: Lord of the Flies character notes/discussion; close reading of passage from Ch 1 Wednesday: Archetype Scavenger Hunt in Pop culture and in Lord of the Flies Thursday: I'm out (teaching other teachers about writing). You'll have a sub. Work day on reading LOTF and working on DEN Friday: Symbolism in LOTF Monday: Finish Source 6 (You'll find your own for this). Review MLA formatting and how to use quotes. Your watching To Kill a Mockingbird and completing your film analysis handout Friday: Continue watching TKaM film. Monday: Leadership Activity (There may be marshmallows involved)
Tuesday: Sub- I'll be out, but in the building. You will watch "How Great Leaders Inspire Action" and fill out a TED Talk Analysis and response (see me if you're absent. I can't post the analysis form because it is copyrighted by another teacher) Wednesday: Leadership Synthesis Assignment. We'll be reading and discussing several articles, videos and images related to leadership. Stay tuned. You will use these for some writing next week.
